Did you know that over half the world’s species live in a jungle, filled with mystery, intrigue, and dangers? These things lead to many questions. The word jungle comes from a Sanskrit word meaning uncultivated land. Similarly, every day our children are bombarded with questions. Did God really create everything? Why do bad things happen? Was Noah’s ark real? Why do I need to be saved?
For our children the world is a jungle out there; so any things that can sway them in the wrong direction. Just as the jungle is uncultivated, so are the minds of many of our children when it comes to knowing about God.
This summer, June 23 – 27 from 6 – 8:30pm, Edgemont Presbyterian Church will host our Vacation Bible School titled the Great Jungle Journey – for children K – rising 7th grade. Students will embark on an imaginary river cruise stopping at 7 ports of call over 5 days. The children will learn the 7 Cs of history – creation, corruption, catastrophe, confusion, Christ, cross, and consummation. At each port they will be exploring some of their unanswered questions and they will take a thrilling ride from the beginning of time to the end (and all will be about Jesus).
Along the jungle journey there will be songs, videos, crafts, food, and recreation. For more information about our upcoming VBS please contact us at [email protected] or check out our Great Jungle Journey VBS page
